Surface Retexturing
Retexturing of asphalt and surface dressing is a cost-effective solution for improving skid resistance on highways. With the latest equipment, this can be achieved in a greener, more cost effective and less intrusive way than resurfacing.
Adding to an established fleet of retexturing equipment, Roadgrip now operates the Trackjet XL system, which has the ability to improve the micro and macro texture of the asphalt. By harnessing the power of water in a unique way it removes excess binder material and etches the surface of the aggregate to improve skid resistance, particularly in wet weather.
Historically, a long term and non-destructive method of concrete retexturing has been difficult to achieve. Following extensive trials, we are pleased to be able to offer longitudinal grinding of concrete, which has been shown to achieve superior long-term skid resistance and acoustic improvements without causing any damage to joints or the structure of the concrete.
