Roadgrip Motorsport are back on the Marina Bay street circuit in Singapore for the first time since 2019 to prepare, clean and paint the track for the major 2022 F1 Grand Prix event.

For the past two years, this popular event in Singapore has been cancelled due to Covid. It’s great to be back! You can see our previous work here: Singapore GP 2019

Race Track Grip

As this is a temporary circuit, track preparation is critical. We began by using the Trackjet machine to clean the 5km surface at a macro level for optimum race performance. This involved retexturing new asphalt areas and cleaning old ones to achieve equal grip readings around the track.

Track Painting

We then applied FIA approved paint, which is quick-drying, designed for performance and safety, and can be easily removed after the race. In addition to painting the sporting lines, grid, edge lines and pit lane, we also created the big impact ‘look and feel’ of the famous circuit with branded run-off areas (see the gallery below).

Track Cleaning

After the weekend, the team will be back with the Trackjet to remove the circuit markings and return it to the highway.
