Ahead of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) race weekend, Roadgrip Motorsport returned to Circuit de Spa Francorchamps in Belgium to complete the track markings, run-off artwork and sponsor branding across the circuit

Set deep within the Ardennes forest, Circuit de Spa is legendary not only for its high-speed corners and dramatic elevation changes, but also for its weather. Sunshine, heavy rain and mist can all roll across the circuit within the same afternoon, creating one of the most challenging working environments our motorsport team works in.

Track marking within the weather windows

Our team had to work flexibly throughout the programme, using clear weather windows to install the edge lines, sporting lines and large-scale run-off graphics across the circuit. Timing was critical, particularly for surface preparation and paint application, where moisture and temperature can directly affect finish quality and durability.

Rather than following a fixed schedule, the works had to constantly adapt to conditions on the ground.

Preparing the circuit for WEC

Spa’s layout places huge importance on accurate, durable markings.

From high-speed sections like Eau Rouge and Raidillon through to heavy braking zones and technical corners, the sporting lines and edge markings need to remain sharp, consistent and clearly visible under all conditions.

The Roadgrip team installed:

  • Edge lines throughout the circuit
  • FIA-compliant sporting lines
  • Run-off area artwork
  • Sponsor branding on circuit walls

Every element contributes not only to circuit operation, but also to the visual identity of the event itself.

Circuit wall branding to showcase sponsors

The circuit walls at Spa form a major part of the broadcast environment during WEC race weekends.

Trackside branding appears constantly in camera shots, onboard footage and photography, meaning precision and consistency are critical. Our team installed sponsor branding across multiple wall sections around the circuit, ensuring clean alignment and uniform application throughout.

At a venue as visually recognisable as Spa, these details play a significant role in the overall presentation of the race.

Adapt and deliver

The combination of weather, tight schedules and the scale of the circuit means teams must be prepared to move quickly whenever conditions allow. Despite the challenging conditions, the Roadgrip Motorsport team completed the installation programme in time for the WEC weekend, delivering the sharp finish expected at one of endurance racing’s most iconic venues.
