Roadgrip installed car park line markings for a Tesla dealership, delivering a clean, high-contrast finish across both the showroom and workshop areas.
Unlike traditional car park markings, this project called for something more aligned with Tesla’s brand: minimal, precise and unmistakably modern. The solution was to install all markings in black, set against a light grey floor to create a sharp, futuristic aesthetic that reflects the look and feel of the vehicles themselves.
Car park markings are often treated as purely functional with bays, arrows and safety lines and little thought given to how they look.
In a dealership environment, that approach doesn’t work.
For Tesla, the customer experience starts the moment someone arrives. The space needs to feel consistent with the brand – clean, engineered and intentional.
By using black linework on a light grey surface, the result is a subtle but striking contrast that feels more like part of the showroom design than a standard car park.
Each bay, line and marking was carefully set out to ensure consistency across the space, with clean edges and uniform spacing. In a minimal design like this, there’s nowhere to hide.
The end result is a space that feels organised, efficient and aligned with Tesla’s forward-thinking brand.
All markings were applied using a one pack epoxy paint, chosen for both its durability and finish quality. This type of coating offers several benefits in environments like showrooms and workshops:
In high-use areas such as workshops, where vehicles, equipment and foot traffic are constant, durability is just as important as appearance.
This project highlights a broader shift in how spaces like car parks and workshops are being treated.
They’re no longer just functional areas. They’re part of the overall environment, contributing to how a brand is experienced.
With the right materials, colours and attention to detail, even something as simple as line marking can elevate a space.
