Roadgrip Motorsport have been preparing the street circuit for the Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix 2022 with circuit painting, Trackjet cleaning and ground advertising graphics.
This famous street circuit is the third longest in the Formula One racing calendar (6,003 m), which kept our team busy in the lead up to the event. For motorsport fans, there are two other circuits longer that this one and you can see our team preparing the tracks for them here: Circuit de Spa Francorchamps and Jeddah street circuit.
With such a long circuit, our team needed two weeks to apply all the track markings to FIA sporting lines, track edge lines, grid and run-off areas. We also created the overall look and feel of the race track with surface graphics and ground advertising to showcase the sponsor brands.
To prepare the circuit for racing, our global team carried out deep cleaning of the asphalt surfaces with Trackjet. The ultra high pressure water jets remove traffic dirt and oils from the surface and also improve grip for the racing drivers.
Our team remain on site throughout the race weekend for emergency call outs and to keep the circuit paint job looking fresh. Well done and thank you to our entire team who continue to create outstanding circuit markings and graphics for the world’s racing circuits.
