As the aviation industry recovers from the pandemic, Heathrow are re-opening Terminal 4 and needed to improve the floor coatings in the baggage area.
Balfour Beattie Group engaged Roadgrip to remove 20 years worth of accumulated coatings in the baggage make up hall, and replace with the GCP Decseal MMA system.
This flooring system comes with several advantages particularly suitable for high-traffic areas like Heathrow. Not only does it provide excellent durability, it is also easy to maintain, which in turn saves time and money.
The challenge to the Roadgrip team was working airside, controlling dust, noise, odours, logistics and all terminal personnel whilst delivering 3000m2 of expertly applied coatings and painting to crash barriers, kerbs and peripheries – and all to a tight programme!
