The global Roadgrip highways team has completed 30,000 linear metres of road marking as part of a major highways project on the island of Antigua in the Caribbean.
Working for BHM Group, the experts in infrastructure and construction throughout the Caribbean, we managed the line marking aspects of the project. Our experienced team applied reflective thermoplastic and 4000 reflective road studs to the new asphalt surfacing on the island’s highways for safety and visibility.
Being hurricane season in that part of the world, our crews were up against challenging weather conditions and rainfall during the project. Luckily, they were able to move fast and take advantage of the sunny windows when they came. The team also had to contend with the restrictions imposed by Covid-19, which meant that all staff had to be quarantined on arrival to the island. They had to adhere to local Covid rules during the work, too.
Despite all of that, the quality of the finished job was excellent. We look forward to returning and working alongside BHM again. Well done to all who were involved in the project.
