Roadgrip has completed an extensive warehouse conversion project for Amazon in partnership with Readie Construction.

Our flooring and car park team were contracted to convert the old Debenhams warehouse into a major Amazon distribution hub  for the region, to manage the increased Christmas trade.

Works involved 16,000 m2 of pumped screed for levelling the floors, along with joint sealing and surface preparation.

30,000 bolts were removed and filled before we applied 8000 m2 of epoxy resin flooring. A busy warehouse like this needed flooring that can withstand the constant traffic and weight. The treatment we used on the flooring is highly durable, non-slip and resistant to damage and chemicals. It’s also easy to clean and maintain.

For the external area, we designed new configurations for the car park’s lorry bays. The area was first hydroblasted to remove old lines and markings, and then cleaned with the beam sweeper, ready for the bay painting. We also installed smoking shelters for workers at the hub.

Well done to all involved for delivering such a high-quality finish across the extensive area.
