The Roadgrip Highways team have returned to one of our favourite places: Suriname, South America, to install the road line markings to the highway.
Working with our long-term partner, Aannemingsmaatschappij Baitali N.V (AMB), works were undertaken on a section of road between Jenny and Henar in the north of Suriname. A total of 5000m sq of thermoplastic markings were applied over a 3-week window.
About 90% of of the country’s territory is covered by rainforests which brings with it about 200rainy days each year. It’s almost impossible to visit the country without being caught by rain at least once. Wet weather does bring extra challenges when line marking the roads but nothing our team can’t handle. It’s all about remaining flexible and manoeuvring quickly when the opportunities arise.
Our line marking team from Kingston, Jamaica undertook all the works on site, working from dawn until dusk to ensure deadlines were met.
Well done to all involved for a top quality job.
