Roadgrip’s Car Parks team has recently completed the refresh of the white parking bay markings at the Gurdwara Sikh Temple in Gravesend, providing clear, well-defined parking spaces that improve the appearance, organisation and day-to-day usability of the site.
The line marking also provided the perfect opportunity to demonstrate something that sits behind every Roadgrip project: our commitment to quality.
Our SHEQ Manager attended the project alongside an external ISO auditor, who assessed the site as part of Roadgrip’s surveillance audit against ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management).
ISO audits are designed to verify that a company’s management systems are not only documented, but are being consistently applied on live projects.
During the site visit, the auditor reviewed how the works were planned, managed and delivered, assessing everything from health and safety procedures and site documentation to operational controls and the quality of the finished installation.
Using an active project allows the audit process to assess how systems work in practice rather than simply reviewing paperwork in an office.
Roadgrip successfully completed the surveillance audit with zero non-conformances.
In simple terms, this means the auditor found no instances where our management systems failed to meet the requirements of the ISO standards. Every area assessed demonstrated compliance with the internationally recognised procedures that govern the way we manage quality and health and safety across the business.
While auditors will often identify opportunities for continual improvement (which form an important part of the audit process) having zero non-conformances confirms that the systems themselves are operating effectively and consistently.
For our clients, it provides independent reassurance that the standards we promote are the standards we deliver on site.
