The countdown to Formula 1‘s return to Madrid took another significant step forward as Roadgrip Motorsport’s European team helped bring the new Madring circuit to life, installing the first circuit markings ahead of Ferrari’s demonstration lap at the venue.
Against the backdrop of Madrid’s summer heatwave, the circuit came alive with vibrant red and yellow track colours that reflected both the Spanish flag and the excitement surrounding the country’s newest Formula 1 destination.
Before the Spanish Grand Prix arrives in September, the circuit must undergo extensive testing and validation to ensure every aspect of the venue is ready for Formula 1.
Roadgrip Motorsport was commissioned to install the circuit markings required for Ferrari’s demonstration run, applying the specialist sporting lines and coloured track markings that will become a familiar sight when the world’s best drivers arrive to race through the streets surrounding IFEMA Madrid.
Working in soaring temperatures, our experienced crews delivered the installation with the precision and attention to detail demanded by a project of this scale.
Madring represents an exciting addition to the Formula 1 calendar, combining permanent infrastructure with urban streets to create a modern hybrid circuit around IFEMA Madrid. Designed to deliver close racing while showcasing the Spanish capital to a global television audience, the venue is set to become one of the championship’s most anticipated new destinations.
As with every new circuit, every line, colour and marking contributes to creating its identity. The bold red and yellow painted sections not only provide striking visual impact but also establish a distinctive character that will become synonymous with racing in Madrid.
