Roadgrip Motorsport returned to Silverstone to prepare the circuit and surrounding infrastructure for the British Grand Prix, 2026.

Preparing the Circuit

Every Formula 1 event requires the circuit to meet exacting standards before cars take to the track. Our specialist crews installed the sporting lines around the circuit using high-performance anti-slip coatings, ensuring the markings were crisp, durable and suitable for the demands of modern Formula 1.

Painting Event Areas

During Grand Prix week, Silverstone transforms from a race circuit into a temporary city.

With vast numbers of spectators, suppliers, media personnel and race teams arriving over a short period, every part of the venue must operate efficiently. Clear road markings, pedestrian guidance and operational areas all contribute to the smooth movement of people and vehicles before, during and after the event.

It is this wider infrastructure that often goes unnoticed but plays a critical role in the success of the weekend.

Our UK motorsport team also carried out line marking across the extensive access road network that serves Silverstone during one of the UK’s largest sporting events. These routes play a vital role in directing the thousands of vehicles, emergency services, contractors and event staff moving around the venue throughout race week.

The heliport was also prepared ahead of the event, ensuring safe and clearly defined landing and manoeuvring areas for the helicopters transporting teams, VIP guests and event personnel throughout the weekend.

Around the venue, our crews completed markings in the grandstand areas and surrounding pedestrian environments, helping create safe, organised spaces for the hundreds of thousands of spectators attending the British Grand Prix.

Delivering Under Tight Deadlines for Events

Like every Formula 1 event, work at Silverstone is delivered to a fixed schedule. Multiple contractors operate simultaneously across the venue, requiring careful planning and close coordination to ensure each phase is completed safely and on time.

Roadgrip Motorsport’s experienced teams worked alongside other event partners to deliver the required markings efficiently, ensuring every area was ready ahead of race weekend.
