The Roadgrip LLC motorsport team has been working in Miami alongside the Precision Drive Club to prepare one of Florida’s most recognisable sporting venues for its next chapter on the global racing stage.

Using ultra-high pressure (UHP) water blasting, our team has removed the striking blue track markings that wrap around the Hard Rock Stadium circuit. The colour, officially known as “aqua,” the Miami Dolphins’ signature shade designed to reflect the ocean, has become a defining feature of the Miami Grand Prix. It covers the pitlane and run-off areas at Turn 19, instantly recognisable to motorsport fans worldwide.

With Formula E arriving in January 2025, the circuit needs a reset. The focus of our work has been on the pit entry at Turn 19. The UHP process ensures a clean, effective removal of paint without damaging the asphalt beneath, which is vital for maintaining grip levels and surface integrity on a track that will soon face the unique demands of Formula E electric cars.

The Hard Rock Stadium itself is a venue of global renown, home not only to the Miami Dolphins but also to some of the biggest events in sport and entertainment, from Super Bowls to international football, tennis, and now a growing calendar of motorsport.

By adapting the track surface to the evolving requirements of different series, Roadgrip plays a part in making sure Miami continues to deliver safe, professional, and spectacular racing.

Once the markings have bene removed, the team will focus on the install of new track markings.
