Roadgrip Motorsport are back in the capital to clean and paint the circuit for the all-electric car race in London: Formula E.
Our team went to East London’s Docklands to prepare the internal track surface with Trackjet. This ultra high pressure cleaning machine removes oil, rubber and debris without affecting the surface underneath. It all depends on the settings of the jets. For other works, we can use the UHP water to improve the grip of the surface but for this, it was about creating a clean and safe surface for the drivers.
After cleaning, we painted the sporting lines (edge lines, grid markings, pit lane and safety markings) and applied graphics for all of the sponsor branding to the floors (ABB, Allianz, Julius Bar and London Electric).
We used removable FIA homologated anti-slip paint, which we then removed after the event with the Trackjet machine. See it in action:
