It’s not often our F1 track marking expertise is used for a children’s nursery but in the case of this NHS hospital in Burton, it was an absolute pleasure to use our design and line marking expertise to create a mini F1 racing circuit for the children of NHS workers.
The NHS are doing an incredible job looking after our nation during this unprecedented time but they need looking after too, and this is just a small way the Roadgrip team could say thank you for all they do.
We had been called in on short notice to paint new bays and refresh existing car park lines to the hospital car park and nursery areas to clearly mark out drop-off and parking areas. We added bright green hashed lines for the ambulance drop off areas along with clear markings to designate the nursery drop-off area, delivery drop-offs and staff parking. We also marked out new disabled bays with extra space for distancing.
As a favour to the hospital, we also applied new, colourful markings to the play area. We created a fun go-kart racing circuit (just like we would do for the real F1 tracks but on a much smaller scale) for the children to pretend they are race-drivers while playing at the nursery. We finished it off with a bright ‘Thank You NHS’ design on the run-off area of the little track.
While working on site, the Roadgrip team adhered to the Government’s guidelines on social distancing and hygiene to keep our colleagues safe too.
From all at Roadgrip, we would like to say a huge thank you to all the NHS workers and key workers for the tireless work they are doing in caring for us all.
