As part of our ongoing partnership with the series, the Roadgrip Motorsport team landed in Japan to support the Tokyo E-Prix 2025: an electrifying round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. For this race, we helped to bring the temporary street circuit to life by installing sporting lines and large-scale branding on the streets of Tokyo.
Formula E is unique in global motorsport. Races are held on temporary street circuits in the heart of major cities, requiring fast, expert transformation of public roads into elite racing venues. That’s where Roadgrip Motorsport comes in.
Our role spans the installation of high-precision sporting lines and the application of bold branding that defines each circuit’s identity. In Tokyo, this included a massive ABB sponsor mural applied using FIA-homologated red paint. This paint is a specialised, safety-tested product approved by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) that is not only durable and vibrant but also rigorously tested to perform under the high-speed demands of motorsport.
Wherever we go in the world, Roadgrip aims to make a positive impact beyond the track. In Tokyo, as in every host city, we worked alongside local labour to deliver the project. Partnering with local workers not only helps us scale efficiently and meet tight timelines, it also ensures we give something back to the local economy. It’s part of our commitment to responsible operations, sustainability, and community support.
Formula E leads the way not only in technology and excitement but also in sustainability. It is officially the world’s most sustainable sport and remains the first sport to be certified net zero carbon since its inception. Every element, from car design and logistics to branding and broadcast, is engineered with the planet in mind.
At Roadgrip Motorsport, we’re proud to contribute to this mission. From the materials we use to the methods we apply, we’re aligned with Formula E’s sustainability goals, bringing together performance, precision, and responsibility at every race.
