Roadgrip has recently completed the refurbishment of the rooftop car park at Apex Tower in New Malden, delivering a durable and weatherproof solution designed to stand the test of time.

Apex Tower is a prominent high-rise office building located just minutes from New Malden station. With its distinctive modernist architecture and far-reaching views across South West London, it remains a key commercial hub in the area.

To revitalise the rooftop car park, Roadgrip began by removing the existing surface coatings using a combination of mechanical grinding and captive blasting. This ensured a clean and well-prepared substrate for the next stage of works.

We then installed a robust waterproofing resin system, carefully selected to offer long-term protection against both the elements and the daily wear and tear of vehicle traffic. The resin layer not only shields the deck from rain, frost, and UV exposure, but also defends against harmful substances commonly found in car parks—such as oil, brake fluid, petrol, and de-icing salts. Left unchecked, these chemicals can degrade concrete surfaces over time, leading to costly repairs and safety risks.

Finally, we reinstated all surface markings to restore safe navigation and maximise parking efficiency.

The result is a cleaner, safer, and more resilient rooftop car park that enhances both the look and longevity of Apex Tower’s facilities.
