For the 2022 Belgian F1 Grand Prix, the Roadgrip Motorsport team returned to Circuit de Spa Francorchamps to apply the line marking to the track.
The scope of work consisted of painting the sporting lines (edge lines, grid, pit lanes and safety lines) in FIA homologated anti slip paint.
We also installed the Belgium national colours on two of the most iconic corners on the F1 Calendar. Spa provided the concepts and we installed the designs using the same FIA homologated anti slip paint.
The first of these corners is the Raidillon (meaning the small steep road). It has been coined as the ‘best triple challenge in the world’ by drivers due to its drop, high speed and curve. This famous corner crosses the Eau Rouge stream and the run-off area here has been expanded to improve safety. The second corner we painted was the Chicane towards the end of the circuit. In the past, this was referred to as the Bus Stop due to it being open to traffic on certain occasions!
We always love returning to this beautiful circuit in the Ardennes and look forward to being back soon.
