At Roadgrip, we’re proud to continue our partnership with the World Endurance Championship (WEC) as part of our ongoing support for race circuits across the season. For this stop in the racing calendar, we worked on the legendary Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.

This round saw our team take on the full track branding and advertising rollout, bringing high-impact visuals to the circuit that would be broadcast across the globe.

Precision Painting with a Purpose

For this installation, we used FIA-approved anti-slip paint, ensuring safety as well as standout branding. We applied Michelin ground graphics directly onto the track surface, leveraging local Italian suppliers for the materials and Italian-made machinery to apply the Rolex and Motul signage to the trackside walls.

Using regional partners is part of our sustainability approach as it reduces transport emissions and supports local industry.

Beating the Elements

The biggest challenge this time wasn’t the complexity of the project – it was the weather. With non-stop rain throughout the install window, our team had to work smart and fast. Using water-based paint (better for the environment and easier to remove post-race) means timing is everything. If rain hits before the paint has cured, it can undo hours of work.

But this is where experience counts. Our crew has worked in all conditions and knew exactly how to adapt. By carefully monitoring the forecast and seizing every dry window, we managed to complete the job on time and to our usual high standard.

Race, Reset, Repeat

Once the chequered flag dropped and the fans departed, our team returned to the track to remove the branding and restore the circuit to its original condition. Just hours later, we were wheels up and en-route to Belgium, ready to do it all over again for the next WEC race.

This is the essence of what we do at Roadgrip; delivering world-class branding in tough conditions, on tight deadlines, and across international borders.

We’re proud to be a trusted partner of the WEC and look forward to continuing the season with more precision, creativity, and speed.
