The Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has undergone improvements ahead of the 2025 MotoGP season, with our team applying new markings and branding to the walls, kerbs and track ready for the new racing calendar.
One of the most striking aspects of the track is the incorporation of Sadu patterns—a traditional Middle Eastern weaving technique known for its intricate geometric designs. This rich cultural motif now features in the run-off areas and kerbs, seamlessly blending Qatar’s heritage with the cutting-edge world of motorsport.
To bring this vision to life, the Roadgrip Motorsport team installed new road markings and specialist coatings for the kerbs and run-off areas. The paint had to meet strict Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) regulations, particularly regarding slip resistance to ensure riders could push their limits with confidence.
To meet these high standards, we used a state-of-the-art coating specifically designed for motorsport circuits thanks to several benefits:
High slip resistance for maximum grip and rider safety
Exceptional durability, standing up to the extreme forces of professional racing
Chemical resistance, protecting the surface from fuel, oil, and acids found on racetracks
With 120,000 square metres of this high-performance coating applied, the track now boasts enhanced grip, durability, and visual appeal, making it one of the most technologically advanced circuits in the world.
