Roadgrip Motorsport is back from the summer break and straight into action at Circuit Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix, the first race of the F1 season second half.

Over the past couple of weeks, the circuit has been a hive of activity, with temporary pit lane garages being built and hundreds of people and vehicles buzzing around the track. In the middle of it all, the Roadgrip Motorsport team was hard at work, installing the sporting lines, pit lane, DRS lines, track limits and kerbs.

It took sharp coordination and a steady chorus of “Don’t step on the wet paint!” from our crew on such a busy track. By some miracle, not a single footprint landed on our fresh work.

As always, we used FIA-approved, anti-slip paint to meet strict safety and performance standards. Once complete, the FIA inspectors carried out their meticulous track walk, checking everything from the markings to the walls and lighting. Having partnered with the FIA on hundreds of projects around the world, we know their process inside out, and our trusted relationship helps us adapt quickly to any last-minute adjustments before the green light.

Zandvoort is one of the most unique stops on the calendar. Nestled in the Dutch dunes just outside Amsterdam, the track is famous for its steep, banked corners (like Turn 3 ‘Hugenholtz’ and Turn 14 ‘Arie Luyendyk’), which make it feel more like a rollercoaster than a conventional F1 circuit. It’s also one of the few tracks where fans are practically on top of the action, which is another reason why we wanted the track markings to stand out with precision.

Once the chequered flag falls, the work doesn’t stop. Our team remain on standby during the event to keep the track looking sharp, and then return post-race to black out the markings and return Zandvoort to its year-round layout.
