From the sweeping corners to the world-famous Corkscrew, the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in California is a track like no other. Roadgrip Motorsport USA was on site to give the circuit a fresh set of track striping, sharpening its appearance ready for the IMSA race weekend.

The Corkscrew: A Unique Track Striping Challenge

Our team installed edge lines, kerb markings and full sporting lines across the track, restoring clarity while enhancing the overall look and feel of the circuit.

No visit to Laguna Seca is complete without tackling the Corkscrew – one of the most famous sequences in motorsport.

This steep, blind left-right drop is known not just for its drama, but for its extreme gradient and elevation change. From a striping perspective, it presents a very different challenge to a flat section of track.

Maintaining straight, consistent lines across a surface that falls away so sharply requires careful set-out and control. What looks correct from one angle can quickly distort from another if not handled properly.

Each line was applied using high-performance coatings designed to withstand the demands of race weekend while maintaining sharp definition.

For our team, working across gradients like this is part of the job. By combining accurate setting-out techniques with an experienced eye, we ensure that lines remain true, both on the ground and from the camera.
