When you think Roadgrip, you probably picture race tracks, runways, car parks and highways. But this summer, our Operations Manager, Sophie Batchelor, led an utterly different, but vibrantly creative, project: applying a giant rainbow-coloured CND symbol on the grass in front of the main stage at Glastonbury Festival 2025.
The project was nothing short of memorable. Instead of tarmac, it was turf. Instead of sponsor branding, a bold statement of peace and unity. And instead of crisp, white lines, a splash of colourful community art.
To pull this off, our team designed and manufactured the stencil in-house, ensuring every curve and segment of the iconic peace symbol was pitch-perfect. The rainbow hues were carefully chosen to reflect Glastonbury’s ethos of inclusivity, creativity, and activism, values Sophie champions in our core operations.
Having full control over the stencil design gave us the flexibility to scale the symbol to fit the prominent grassy expanse before the Pyramid Stage, adjusting size and colour until it aligned seamlessly with the festival’s aesthetic and message.
Under Sophie’s leadership, Roadgrip demonstrated that our branding capabilities go beyond racetracks. From designing stencils for high-speed motorsport branding, to executing bold grass-side art installations, we proved that precision and creative expression can intersect, beautifully and meaningfully.
This Glastonbury project may have lacked stripes, grooves and logos, but it carries the same Roadgrip values: meticulous preparation, tailored execution, and an eye for making visual statements that last.
