Each year, our team returns to install the track markings at the iconic TT Circuit Assen for one of the most iconic stops in the World Super Bikes championship.
Known as the Cathedral of Speed, Assen demands absolute precision, not just from the riders, but from every element of the circuit itself.
Assen is a circuit defined by fast transitions, technical sections and high-speed corners that leave no room for inconsistency on the surface.
Our team installed the full suite of sporting lines, grid markings and pit lane layouts, ensuring the circuit is clearly defined for riders across every session, from practice through to race day.
Having worked on the circuit over multiple seasons, the team understands how each section behaves under race conditions. That familiarity allows us to apply markings not just accurately, but appropriately, adjusting techniques depending on braking zones, corner loads and surface wear.
MotoGP track marking is a different discipline to other motorsport like F1.
With riders leaning at extreme angles and relying on a much smaller tyre contact patch, the interaction between tyre and surface becomes critical. Paint specification, thickness and application all directly influence grip levels.
At Assen, we used high-friction, anti-slip coatings designed specifically for motorcycle racing. These ensure that markings remain safe and predictable, even in demanding conditions.
Equally important is consistency. Riders need to trust that grip levels remain uniform lap after lap, corner after corner, particularly in mixed or changing weather, which Assen is well known for.
Clear, high-contrast markings are essential at a circuit like Assen, where speed is a major feature.
From the long start/finish straight to the tighter technical sections, every line must be visible and easy to interpret at speed. This is just as important during qualifying and practice sessions, where marginal gains make the difference.
The result is a circuit that not only performs but presents clearly, both to riders on track and to global audiences watching.
Returning to Assen year after year reflects a trusted relationship built on consistency and delivery under pressure. We’re always honoured to be part of the event delivery.
