Roadgrip UK has recently completed a full-scale retail car park refurbishment at Westfield Stratford, one of London’s busiest retail destinations. The project involved the complete removal and replacement of floor coatings and bay markings to improve the car park’s durability, functionality, and visual clarity.
We began the works with extensive surface preparation, using grinding and captive shot blasting to fully remove the old coatings and ensure an optimal surface for bonding. Once the substrate was clean and ready, we installed a new resin system using ADR, an advanced, hard-wearing resin known for its excellent chemical resistance, durability under heavy traffic, and long-lasting finish. Its anti-slip properties also make it ideal for improving safety in high-footfall environments.
Working to a new scheme selected by the client, we applied colour-coded zones to enhance navigation and wayfinding throughout the car park:
Green bays for electric vehicle charging stations
Orange bays for car hire companies
Blue bays for accessible/disabled parking
These bold, vibrant colours not only reflect Westfield’s brand identity but also make it easier for visitors to find the appropriate parking area quickly and safely.
